The Barco G62-W9 is part of Barco’s G62 series — a line of installation-grade laser projectors that deliver premium image quality, rock-solid reliability, and unmatched flexibility in a compact, lightweight package. At 9,000 ISO lumens, the G62-W9 is the ideal workhorse for mid-size corporate events, houses of worship, lecture halls, and rental inventory. The black chassis disappears into stage sets, truss rigs, and darkened rooms where a white housing would catch light. For bright architectural spaces and ceiling mounts, the same projector is also stocked as the Barco G62-W9 White.
Weighing just 17.4 kg (38.4 lbs), it’s remarkably light for a projector of this caliber. The entire G62 series shares a common chassis and lens mount, meaning you can stock one set of lenses and use them across the W9, W11, and W14 — a huge advantage for rental houses managing inventory costs.
Optical System
The single-chip DLP engine with Barco’s laser phosphor illumination delivers vivid, punchy images with excellent color accuracy. A native contrast ratio of 1,200:1 is supplemented by an extraordinary 750,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, ensuring deep blacks and brilliant highlights even in partially lit environments. The sealed optical engine keeps dust out, maintaining image quality over the projector’s lifetime.
Lens Versatility
The G62-W9 is compatible with 7 interchangeable lenses covering throw ratios from 0.36:1 (ultra-short-throw fixed) to 5.50:1 (ultra-long-throw zoom). All lenses feature motorized shift, zoom, and focus with memory presets. The same lenses work across all G62 models, providing maximum inventory flexibility for rental operations.
4K Compatibility & HDR
While natively WUXGA (1920 x 1200), the G62-W9 accepts and downscales 4K content via its dual HDMI 2.0 inputs. HDR tone mapping preserves the dynamic range of HDR10 content, delivering cinematic image quality even from a 1080p output.
Connectivity
A comprehensive I/O panel includes dual HDMI 2.0 inputs, DVI, HD-SDI (BNC) for broadcast feeds, HDBaseT for 100-meter cable runs, and RS-232/Ethernet for system integration. Crestron RoomView compatibility enables direct integration with existing AV control systems.
